Aer Lingus does not offer special support to children traveling independently. As per their  minors policy :


Children below  12 years old must be accompanied by an adult who is at least 16 years old. Unaccompanied minors aged between 12 to 15 may travel alone with the submission of a Form of Indemnity, but they will not receive special assistance during their journey.

  • Italian minors under 14 traveling with someone other than a parent or legal guardian must carry a special declaration obtained from the police, in addition to any airline-specific requirements for minors flying alone  aged 14-16.

Form of Indemnity


A form of indemnity must be filled , signed and filed for every unaccompanied young traveler traveling on a direct Aer Lingus flight. Unaccompanied young passengers without the required form of indemnity will be refused travel.

A copy of the unaccompanied minor form is required for each flight in the itinerary and one is to be retained by the unaccompanied young passenger at all times. The form of indemnity must be signed by a parent or guardian at the check-in desk at the first departure point and witnessed by an airport check-in staff member. The parent or guardian must carry a valid passport or driver's license to confirm their identity.
