The applicability of fees depends on factors such as travel class, fare type, route, and the timing of the cancellation.

Saudia 24-Hour Cancellation Policy


Saudia offers  a 24-hour flight cancellation policy for journeys to or from the United States. Under this policy, if you acquire your ticket directly from Saudia (via website, call center, or sales office) at least 7 days prior to departure, you're entitled to a full refund without penalty if canceled within 24 hours. This policy encompasses all ticket types, including non-refundable fares such as Basic Economy/Saver fares.

Ticket Cancellation Process

To prevent a no-show penalty, it's necessary to cancel your ticket prior to your flight's departure. You have multiple options for canceling your flight and requesting a refund:


  1. By phone.

  2. Through a Saudia Sales Office.

  3. Via your travel agent.

  4. Online through Saudia.com (available only if you booked your ticket directly through Saudia's website/app, sales office, or call center).


Important Note:


  • When canceling online, all refundable tickets within the booking are canceled. To cancel and refund only one ticket, you can call at +1-866-410-8128.

  • If your flight is canceled or you're unable to travel due to illness, call at +1-866-410-8128.


How to Cancel Your Ticket Online?


If you've purchased your ticket directly from Saudia (via website/app, sales office, or call center), you can cancel your ticket and request a refund following these steps:


  1. Visit Saudia.com.

  2. Click on the "Manage Booking" tab.

  3. Retrieve your flight booking by entering your booking reference number and last name.

  4. Click on the "Cancel and Refund" button.


Important Notes:


  • If you booked your ticket through a third party (website or travel agent), you can either contact the source directly or call Saudia to cancel your ticket.

  • If you're calling from outside of Saudi Arabia, you can reach a call center in your city or country.

  • Refunds are applicable only for tickets paid through VISA, MasterCard, cash, check, SPAN, or SADAD.

EMD Refund


To request a refund for an EMD, you can submit your claim online through this link. Refunds for EMDs are subject to the following conditions:


  • Compensation EMDs will be fully refunded to your bank account.

  • Ancillary EMDs for instinctive cases will be fully refunded only via call centers.

  • If you wish to cancel a ticket that was booked but not issued through a Saudia sales office, call center, or website, please contact customer service by calling the provided number or the call center in your city/country.

  • If you're a registered Alfursan member, you can cancel your ticket using one of the following methods:


  • By phone through a call center in your city/country.

  • Online via Saudia.com by following these steps:


  1. Visit Saudia.com.

  2. Click on the "Alfursan" tab.

  3. Log in using  your Alfursan ID and password.

  4. Click on "My Trips."

  5. Select the itinerary you wish to cancel.

Saudia Refund Policy


Ticket refunds and compensation with Saudia follow specific procedures and conditions:


  • Refunds or compensation are processed within 10 working days from the date of acceptance of your request, with payment options including cash, bank transfer, bank check, or EMD (as per your preference).

  • If compensated with an EMD, you can either reissue your ticket without additional fees or receive cash, bank check, or bank transfer through the Saudia website or sales office.

  • When applying for a refund, you must present your personal Identification Document or provide legal authorization.

  • Refunds are issued either to the person named on the ticket or the person who paid for it, subject to necessary documentation.

  • In cases where the ticket was purchased by another individual, refunds will be made to either the passenger or the purchaser with a formal letter of authorization.

  • Refunds are processed upon presentation of the ticket number or receipt along with all unused flight coupons, except in instances of lost tickets.

  • Saudia assumes no liability for refunds issued to individuals who meet the aforementioned conditions regarding ticket receipt and unused coupons.

  • Involuntary refunds, due to Saudia's operational issues, equal the price paid for unused tickets or the difference between the paid fare and the fare used for partially used tickets.

  • Voluntary refunds, initiated by passengers, result in a refund equal to the fare paid less applicable cancellation fees and charges.

  • In cases of lost tickets, proof must be provided, and a service fee paid, provided no part of the ticket has been used or refunded, and a commitment to refund the amount in case of misuse or fraud is made.

  • Passengers with special needs, if not provided suitable flights or services, are entitled to compensation equal to 200% of the value of their affected ticket/coupon.

  • Refund requests submitted after the ticket expiration may be rejected.

  • Ticket refunds are subject to government regulations of the country of ticket purchase and are typically processed in the currency of purchase, but may be permitted in another currency as per Saudia's regulations.

  • Voluntary refunds are processed exclusively by the carrier or authorized agent who issued the ticket.
